Meet the artist

My name is Katie Robinson, and I’m a Florida-based artist whose work explores the relationship between nature, memory, symbolism, and personal growth.

I have been creating art for as long as I can remember. Growing up in a small town surrounded by rivers, forests, wildlife, and open skies, I developed a deep appreciation for the natural world that continues to influence my work today. Birds, insects, plants, water, and changing seasons often find their way into my paintings, not only as subjects, but as symbols carrying their own stories and meanings.

The work is driven by curiosity. I am fascinated by the quiet moments that shape us, the emotions we struggle to put into words, and the way people find beauty, resilience, and hope throughout their lives. Weather I am painting, drawing, or writing about a moment, a landscape, an animal, or a more symbolic piece, I strive to create work that invites viewers to pause, reflect and find their own meaning within it.

In high school, I was honored to win a young adult artist competition that led to one of my pieces being displayed at the Dali Museum. That experience strengthened my dream I still carry today, to create meaningful artwork that connects with others and continues to grow alongside me.

When I’m not painting, you can usually find me, in my garden, writing, sketching, or searching for inspiration in the natural world.
